Awesome thanks for the help. I'm new to this rock and gem hunting thing so I want to ask are garnets worth anything?

Garnets are worth money if you can find one with all the crystal faces still intact. Those that are in the rock are fairly common. I find many rocks with garnet in them such as you have. But still a great find. Good luck and happy hunting

Nice garnets! That would be worth looking into deeper, there may be some real nice specimens there.

Thanks guys you I had no idea either. I just got hooked on the whole prospecting and finding gems and such so every time I see a cool looking rock I reach down and grab it ha I have a lot of rocks now haha. Where would be a good place in Phoenix for me to take it and get it checked out???

I found a couple more cool looking things- the last pic almost looked like some gems growing on rock? The are soft black and red I have no idea. Ha

Pretty sweet, they definitely look like garnets, ones that tiny aren't worth much if anything, I find tons of them where I live. I have a few hundred and nothing to do with them other than just collect. Never find them embedded in anything tho, thats pretty cool. as far as the other ones, I have NO clue. Pretty new to this myself
