Question about different colored druzy

So I have found clear, white, pink & grey druzy. On my way up the hill from fishing, I found this black druzy. My question is, would it be the same composition as smoky quartz? I find druzy to be such an interesting mineral because of all it's myriad colors & shapes.

You have found some nicely colored specimens. I can't help out with your question...But I just gotta ask.....How did you do fishing ??

Ha! I caught 2 large moth bass only 12" so I released them. Had another break the line. Not sure if it was bass or snapping turtle.
These are 2 my husband caught a wk ago.

Considering the reds iron is a possibility. Magnesium would be a better candidate for the black coloration. I lean more towards magnesium as its often black and looking at the stones would be more likely considering the chert like aspect of the last picture.

Is it magnesium that makes smoky quartz? (sorry I can't find my rock book)

The smoky color is formed by irradiation of clear quartz by natural sources. In essence one can consider smoky quartz a burned crystal However they are not dangerous.
