Anybody ID this rock?

Found this 3" in diameter rock in sand along the Delaware River in PA. Have no idea what it it is. Anybody?

I'd say coral also. But I'm not an expert.

I believe what you have is a water tumbled piece of volcanic pumice.

thanks all who answered - looks like it is volcanic pumice. Must be pretty old because PA has not had volcanic activity in a very long time.

OMG I have sth like that with quartz and agate grown inside! But it doesn't feel brittle like pumice?

Float? No not as far as I know. It's light but not that light to float.

My first impression was a fossil. But then, fossils aren't my strong point. There is a fossil forum here, get a second opinion is my recommendation.
