Doesn't look like an emerald to me, but I'm no expert. If it were an emerald, it would be too opaque to have much gem value.

Interesting specimen. It's luster is a little to brilliant for rough Emerald and the shape is funny too. Was it tumbled or honed in any way? It resembles microcline which is part of the Feldspar family. The color and graining seem typical. I'm going on appearance and that's what it resembles in my opinion.

Where did you pick it up at?
Looks like a piece of amazonite from the luster and striations.

Hey guys I picked it up in sc. And yes I tried polishing it with my drummel and tumbled it for a cple hours.
