    Emerald?

Can anyone tell me if this is a good specimen of an emerald. It measures 1" x 3/4 ". And if so any value?

Doesn't look like an emerald to me, but I'm no expert. If it were an emerald, it would be too opaque to have much gem value.

Interesting specimen. It's luster is a little to brilliant for rough Emerald and the shape is funny too. Was it tumbled or honed in any way? It resembles microcline which is part of the Feldspar family. The color and graining seem typical. I'm going on appearance and that's what it resembles in my opinion.

Where did you pick it up at?
Looks like a piece of amazonite from the luster and striations.
Everyone Believes they have gold buried in the back yard... small wonder so few ever look for it.

Yeah, the first one looks like amazonite.
