Help with ID please

I found this in a shallow creek while panning for gold last summer. The stream bed is dolomite. Really heavy, weighs 34 grams. Maybe nickel?

No attraction to a rare earth magnet.

I have quite a few ore-associated specimens like this. I find it closely located to shale host rock types, especially the Dolomite shale. I believe it's a manganese/iron ore.
