A little more detail is needed to even venture a guess. Found near a new road, was it? Well, that brings up several questions. Was it part of the fill for the roadbed, or was it removed with several tons of overburden to help prepare for fill. Or perhaps it was neither. Also, where in Sweden was it found? This could also be helpful in identifying the rock. Please remember that we have nothing to identify the rock except the images you provide and any other information you may give.
My opinion, based only on the image provided, is that it is likely one of the many varieties of basalt found in the region. I have seen basalt cobble of similar color and texture in many places in Europe. Having spent little time in Sweden, only a day along the west coast between Malmö and Helsingborg, I can be of little other help, unless you want a good smoked salmon in Helsingborg.
