Just got a 10" slabber and a cheap SiO2 wheel, loving the results so far :-)

Looks like some type of agate but not sure...any ideas? It does seem to be silicate in nature and has about a 6-6.5 Mohs hardness. Was found on a beach in San Diego by a friend of mine.

Only used a 10" slab saw w/power feed for this pic. Just got a 8" double bull wheel for grinding/shaping and a bench grinder for buffing so I'm ready to start making a mess of things Haha :-D also have a slant cab which is kind of an old piece of junk but might have some uses, not too sure what to do with it yet tho.

Nice work! Get some Silicon carbide wheels, they are even better. Just be sure they can take water for coolant!
