More river rock agates

I had some time today between rain showers to dig around in my river rock and see if I could find some agates. I found the little chip first. I thought it possible the rest of the agate that I found the chip of may still be there so I dug around the same area for a bit. That's when I found the bigger one. Not part of the chip though. :)

I may add better pics later. Lighting wasn't that great and it got worse so I ended the photo session early.

Great finds. How much are your agates are worth? Good hunting and good luck.

Not much. They are severely undervalued in my opinion. You could probably find ones like the agates in this thread for around $1 to $2 each at a rock shop. That said, they are not rare at all which probably explains the pricing. Large prize agates with nice banding can go for much more. They start becoming more valuable at around the 1/2 pound size. I only have found a few over 1/2 pound.
