Found this on the shore of Lake Michigan yesterday, Illinois. At first I thought it was a crinoid fossil, however, I've never found one like this. It could possibly be a rock that became worn like this and just so happens to have a perfect hole in the middle.
Any ideas? It's a little larger than a quarter and about an inch tall .
