Welcome to the forum first off. Good pictures too. What you have there is what I would call lacy chalcedony. Conditions where not quite right for the quartz to crystalize and the red coloration could be any number of things. Nice piece though.

oh wow nice to finally know what it is thanks so much. I'm going to make an album with my collection to share with everyone...so will welcome any comments
