Silvery shiny rock found

Hello everyone, i recently got a silvery rock from my aunt who used to work in a jewelry factory in mauritius unfortunately she passed away and i couldnt inquire about the rock

The rock can scratch glass

Non magnetic

Quite heavy

Shiny

There is a small piece i broke off the rock to show the cross section

Please help me

I'd guess pyrite considering the hardness.

Helloo...i found out actually it is marcasite

Does anyone know how much its worth? About 1.5kg one rock

Marcasite is a low-temperature variation of pyrite. They are related, so to speak.
Value isn't huge, I'd say.

Probably 5 to 20 bucks depending on the buyer. It has some good character.
