 A good haul from a well hunted area Penny. While you were there did you have any of your finds identified? Seems to be a mix of quartz minerals for the most part but that last picture with the black stones has me curious.

Thank you. I didn't ask about the black rocks. The line was crazy so I didn't want to take up too much of her time. I found a few free and blue rocks I wish I had asked about too.
I can't wait to post the picks from the trip to Coleman Crystal Mine. Wanted to try and clean them up a bit.

*grins* Never heard of jasper agate, but then, I'm a nerd.:tongue3: (although I just learned there is something called Agate-Jasper, chuckle)
The quartz crystals are nice, for sure!

Also curious about the black rocks in the last pic.

Thank you ! I started to explain a bit about the differences but then just stopped and moved along.

My wife is salivating over the rocks. We were there last year and she got some purple crystals. (I'm not the rock person in the family)

One guy found a small diamond. It was sitting on the surface about 15 yards away. The sunlight hit it just right and he went over and picked it up.

We then went to Ron Coleman mine, and it was just so-so.

We found Miller Mountain mine and liked that much better. We got a load of quartz crystals there. It was much better in my opinion.
