A large river cobble is all that can be said about it. I dont see anything distinguishing about it. Could be any number of minerals. A fresh chip off it and close pictures, hardness test, streak test, potential magnetism or close views of any crystalline constructions. Any information on locality, observations of color weight... whole host of stuff.

I'm thinking more of a rock then a mineral. Chip of a corner and let us see the fresh surface. use gloves and eye protection!

Looks like quartzite to me, but in order to be sure, you must do as the gentleman ask for a better indentification.:icon_scratch:

The green stuff to me looks like some organic matter covering the rock.
