Hoping someone can tell me what this rock is. The colour is lovely and wondering what I can do with it? Jewellery perhaps? Many thanks :)

probably calcite. See if a knife will scratch it. if it does it's calcite, if it doesn't it's probably quartzite.

For future reference, you should start your own thread instead of hijacking someone else's ;)

phantom, what kind of sand paper? I ask because it will give us an idea of hardness for your specimen.

Hilary, the rock on the left is quartz and as stdenis said a hardness test would be indicative of the other two stones.
