Testing out some new lighting on some Fluorite

I picked up a new lamp for my mineral desk. I'm really enjoying taking some new photos! I hope everyone has a great Christmas!

May I ask where you get the lights you use,all the shortwave I find on shelves have been weak and just undesirable ,also have you ever tried l .e. d. Uvlight in a display, I am building a highly visible display and had a idea to try leds run off solar, and ideas, thoughts,or advice would be great thanks,beautiful piece thanks for sharing

This lamp actually has a built-in diffuser. It's a 3.5 watt LED desk lamp. My biggest problem is correcting the camera's auto-adjusting, it's a cheap camera! This specimen is so saturated in color (and deep in dimension) that it is very difficult to capture the true color! I will work on shooting some more photos to best capture this specimen. I also made a crucial mistake and downloaded these photos after I had uploaded them in lower quality/resolution. Thanks EU!

There are a few good websites for UV lighting if that's what you're looking for. I'll have to find them for you. This is shown under an LED light. I have experimented with long wave ultraviolet lighting but only minimally.

I hear you. A manual correction is often needed for specimens. Heck, I fiddle about a lot with my camera on manual!
