Hi. Is the outer shell made of quartz or mica? Is it muddy? The picture you posted is too out of focus.
Inside looks basaltic. Can you scratch the green stuff off or is it part of the stone? Put the stone on the ground take another photo with a steady hand and repost.

I have found something similar with my gold bug here on the shores of Lake Ponderay in North Idaho. I ended up breaking it to pieces... wish I hadn't... there is a specimen here at the Coeur d Alene museum, I will have to go back to recall what it was. Will let ya know when I do
