Found this stone in Bulgaria, near Godech village, on a side of a hill. Please share some ideas on what this could be and what could have made this formation. Thank you in advance.

Possibly a softer layer in the host rock that has washed out from a natural occurrence. Just a guess. An awesome specimen though!

That almost looks like the impression of a coil snake that went extinct about 160,000 years ago. You can see fossils that show the coils.

Anyway nice find and a true oddity.

I think it may be a prehistoric example of an early earthquake measuring device. From the way the line jumps upwards at the end I'd say it was at least an 8.6 on the rock-ter scale.

I think it may be a poorly fossilized fish with teeth...I think I see an eye socket too!

Rustygold offers the best advice in my opinion. It could also have been a crack or vug at sometime that erroded out as well is all I can add. It does smile at ya though. Hehh
