Hello there =) I am new...
tn_md.gif
I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard FollowYourJoy! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country). You might also consider adding your state (or country) to your displayed profile (SETTINGS -> EDIT PROFILE) so if you ask a question, etc. - people may have more success helping you (your location may help, etc.)...

Need to do a hardness test. Just looking at the pictures I'm inclined to believe its blue quartz or blue calcite. Nice coloration. The smaller crystals in the first picture, when zoomed, appear to show hexagonal growth hence the thought of quartz but they are not real distinct. But it does appear to be blocky so maybe calcite though some forms of compressed quartz can break out like that as well. Yep, need a hardness test. Might help if we knew where you found it as well.

Could also be massive celestite - if you do a hardness test and it's near 7 it's blue quartz as DD said - if it's softer, see if it reacts to acid. If it reacts, blue calcite. If it doesn't, possibly celestite.
