How the F do you gain access to the inside of the barrels? The stupid instructions are totally useless and dont tell you anything about setting it up!!!

Spin off cap nut. Take off large “lid” by prying gently with kitchen knife at edge. Grasp threaded shank and pull/wiggle gently. Voila! Be careful when putting sealing lid w/o-ring back in...do not use oil,lubricant,Vaseline,etc. I just got the 2 pounder recently and it works phenomenally.
Now I’ll go read those directions...

Which part isn't coming off? I suspect it is the metal cap on the barrel, after unscrewing the cap nut. I use the washer - stick it sideways into the gap and give the washer a twist. The metal cap should just pop off.
