    I was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind on mineral this rock has speckled throughout it.

    not really, pretty common unless any of those garnets are facet-grade which I doubt. Can't tell the size but as a collector specimen maybe 20 bucks

    Yep, what stdenis says. Even facet grade garnets won't bring much cash. And yet I still hunt for them occasionally lol!
