Tumbled quartz? Clear tumbled glass? Agate? Huge!!

I found this at a garage sale for $5 it
has a rough exterior and a polished window cut out to view into the ball.
I assume it is glass, but I wanted to be sure
So cool looking under a light, it looks like the moon!

I'm no expert. Heck, I'm not even an amateur but I vote glass.

Pretty much impossible to tell if its a bit of quartz crystal or a chunk of glass. Only way I can think of to be sure is to have a clear polished window cut on it to take a look at the inside for air bubbles, that would make it glass, or internal flaws native to crystals.

I live on the water and we have a ton of this type of rock. It’s crystal quartz. It’s really beautiful, especially if you tumble it. But not a crystal. Nice find though
