I found these two stones about 10 feet apart in an area within 5 miles of a known nephrite location. Both of these stones withstood a scratch test with my knife tip. I am looking for my hanging scales to test specific gravity. Are there any other tests that can be conducted at home to verify whether or not a stone is in fact jade? What do you think does this look like jade?

Thank you in advance for any guidance you can provide.

Update: I found my scales and calculated the specific gravity to be 3.07.

Mr. Magoo-I am in the northwest corner of Washington state.

Correction:

Stone 1-Specific Gravity 3.9

Anyone have any ideas what this could be? I am at a loss. It would seem the specific gravity is too high to be Nephrite.

Stone 2 had a specific gravity of 3.07.
