Southern Utah rockhounding sites

Does anyone know of any good sites in southern Utah? What can I find in this area? I'm a newbie and would like to know what to look for when I'm out and about

The only place I know about in Utah is U-Dig fossils. You can find more info about it at:

It is a fee digging place which has an abundance of trilobite fossils.

There is also the Cisco/Yellow Cat area in Southeast Utah. It is a good area to find a variety of agate, jasper and petrified wood. Here is a pic of the collection areas from a magazine.

I like to go to Topaz Mountain a few times a year. I have never found found a large crystal, but I do have several nice small pieces that would be suitable for earrings and such.

Topaz mountain is my favorite no doubt about it
