Even $700 is way too much for a used Safari (IMO) when you can get a new Equinox cheaper. Other than being new, the other advantages of the Nox are being waterproof and better on finding small gold.

I won’t ever need another Machine other than my safari, unless I wanted to take it underwater. Then I’d get the equinox 800. The only complaint I have with this machine is it’s weight, however I look at it as it’s built tough and with good, solid parts. I added a rechargeable battery pack to it, and also wireless headphones. You can pick them up for $500 now, thanks to equinox. People flock to new. Nothing wrong with that. But this guy does it all
