Aluminum Cans
How much are you guys getting for cans? I sold some yesterday, and the guy was paying 43 cents a pound, and 44 cents if they were crushed. I sold 21lbs of cans for $9.25. Is that what you guys are averaging? Im in far West Texas, by the way.

Re: Aluminum Cans
I cashed some cans in out here in Calif. a couple weeks back and got $1.57 a pound.
However Cali has a fee of 5 cents a can that is charged when one purchases the beverage and the cans are stamped with CRV (California Redemption Value) on the top of each can. The redemption centers are not suppose to take non CRV cans, but some people have been known to bring in out of state cans and redeem them.

Just to update this a little. I'm in N. Calif. and, if I take cans in on Saturday I get a better price than the rest of the week. Got around $1.65 lb about a week ago.
