Price you're getting for No. 1 Copper?
What kind of prices are you getting on No. 1 copper and unpainted extruded aluminum?
I went to check yesterday, here in North Texas, but the scrap yard I'm closest to closed at 4:30....
Thanks,
Bill

Where are you at in N Texas? I am near Cleburne, and last time I checked at Erath Metals it was about $3.50 a lb.

I'm 30 miles West of Ft. Worth... I called the local yard today (05/02
#1 Copper is $3.38
Extruded Aluminum .71
Sheet Aluminum .50
Why would sheet aluminum be lower than Extruded?

I think its the type of alum. Aluminum Extrusion
Aluminum extrusions will commonly be found in the alloys of 6061 and 6063. Using magnesium and silicon in various proportions to form magnesium silicide, creating a heat treatable aluminum alloy with durable strenth. Common uses include ladders, window frames, and screen doors.

Re: Price you're getting for No. 1 Copper?
I know just how you feel, took in some copper wire the other day on my way home from work, had 8 lbs of it and a 20lb compressor ot of an old fridge, got a measly 20 bucks, no receipt with prices, was never told the price, and had to wait over an hour for the guy to show up and pay me. I always say i'll never go back, but his place is so much closer, and I lnow the guy, but that sure doesnt help me get a better price
