    What appliances to look for?

I am 17, and recently have gotten into scrap metals, namely copper, brass, and aluminium. I remembered a dump my grandfather has used his entire life, and i had picked bottles and misc junk from there to keep but i now JUST considered copper and brass being found there. What types of appliances have copper piping or brass in them? such as washers and dryers, microwaves, etc. what should i go look for this afternoon? thanks for any input and feel free to add anything with other metals i should look for. thanks.

Most yards will not take televisions or microwave ovens. On washers strip the electric motor and copper wire to sell separately.
Just because it did not work does not mean it was not a good plan!

I actually did the dump run yesterday, not much was left there, i believe my uncle scrapped it already. managed to pick apart a sinc for 13 oz of yellow brass, and found 3 computer monitors with good copper wire chunks in them. all in all not too shabby...

I strip water heaters of brass valves and aluminum gas controls, it will add up....sell the water heater for scrap.....Most bicycles have aluminum wheels and also the bracket holding the handle bars which on most bikes is also aluminum and aluminum pedals.
