What goes down - goes up, and the secret is knowing is when to hold, or fold. The present moment there's no upside to the prices of metal, and in the 2016 outlook it's not going up at all it seems. The Chinese aren't going to be baling out NA like they did in 2008 so the prices will stay down.
In driving by the commercial yards where the dealers go to the brokers one can quickly figure out what's happening, is there stock piles of metal or an empty yard? If there is a huge inventory of metal they're hedging the market and the buy low sell high is in play. If the yard is empty well it's get rid of the non-ferrous ASAP on the preorder booking orders that have been put into place.
If one looks at some of the pricing that was happening in the mid to late 90's copper was $1.00, yellow brass .50, St/S was 20-25 cents a pound, so the drive down can still go to these lows. Just remember if you're comfortable in the sell it's good. if you have to sell because there's a need well it's just that. Hold it for the long run if there's no issues with storage, funds, or security.
