In my work place, a customer wants us to remove the inner electronics from an old decommissioned part, the costumer just wants the Beryllium and we can do with what we want with the guts! After carefully cutting open this object. Being careful not to make dust as it’s highly cancerous/ toxic. Containing it. We removed the “guts” witch was a laser of some sort ! It is full of gold, platinum , Hastalloy, Inconel, Copper , silver, ect... this is mostly an assumption of the metals. The gold electronics are there and real.
We are gonna get a lot more of these to demo!
We are planning on taking each part and separating in a container. Then we have to figure out how to remove the gold .....acid wash? And have to determine what alloy the other materials are made of!
Anyone have any ideas?
The object is 14” diameter by 30” long
Sorry but I can’t show pics , it is top secret !
