Well, I don't have a before pic but I just bought a new/used machine and the foam grip had a big rip in it that was bugging me so I decided to fix it. I went to Mills Fleet Farm and bought a roll of Vetrap aka; horse bandage aka; horse tape for $1.77 [actually .99 on sale 8-)] and wrapped up the handle. It's now better than new and you can't even tell there's any type of repair done. No need to overdue it, a little does the trick.
