I purchased an AT Pro used a few years ago used, and have used it very little.
I pulled it out of the garage today to clean it up to sell.
I noticed that when turned on and in use, I'm getting a sporadic static noise. Not like a ground balance static, but different.
I found that when I tapped the box, it would make a random beep and that static would be audible. I can't imagine tapping the box and it making noise is normal.

Any thoughts?

Make sure all of the connections (coil & headphones) are tight. Place a new set of batteries in to eliminate any low voltage conditions.

Good Luck. :icon_thumleft:

Next day all was good. Could not recreate it. Maybe the battery cover was loose. Weird....

Hmm I have had 2 atpros and they would both false like crazy with movement.. the thing would sound off every time Id change direction of the sweep.. turned out to be the connection from the coil was getting loose and had to be retightened.. it loosens constantly so basically I check and tighten it before every use now.. doesn't sound like your problem though
