There is room around padre for sailboats in fact my dads old buddy was Kurt Purvis who discovered the treasure north of mansfield cut in the late 60's then the Texas Government siezed it all. I have a new friend that was a captain all his life willing to show me around on my sailboat over there. I was hoping to chat with the CapBill guy but he doesnt seems to post anymore on this site. Anyone using the the Fisher Pulse 8 detector?

There is room for sail boats but depends on where you go. If you are looking to enter around the mansfiled jetties it looked to be silted in on north side a few months ago.
