This might be an old topic, but a great story to revisit.

I delivered an airplane to Lawrence, KS, and while there took a tour of the Steamboat Arabia Museum in downtown KC. The ship sank in the Missouri River north of Kansas City. Great museum, a must see if you visit there. Here is a link to the story.

I think I saw something on that on a DVD for lost treasures. The river had change course over the years and the ship was found in a field? As I recall the recovery was very difficult, but the cargo was in super condition, much of it still in crates. The china that was packed for shipping was gorgeous! I would love to go there and see that some time, but I don't deliver planes to KC. I don't deliver planes anywhere. :'( Very cool job! ;D

I wonder if Hollywood "borrowed" the name for another movie, very nice!
