Re: St. Croix & St. Thomas

They are all over the place!

In Saint Thomas Harbor alone for instance
during the 19th century in a two months span
a massive hurricane hit and sunk well over 50 vessels
right in the harbor - then a short time thereafter a tidal wave
came through and sunk even more,,,

One of our research specialists who follow posts I'm sure
can elaborate on this particular catastrophic series of natural events....

Almost everywhere you dig in the harbor you will find something
    interesting but.....
It all designated a national heritage site and you all will be considered
dastardly black pirates, {not to be confused with black politicians} and
or other scurrilous rouges and be subject to arrest, if caught pilfering
the national heritage that they state, should belong to all of us but
be left to them to study and protect.....

Good old boy politics.... what's new, under the sun besides the
color of the new politically correct jack up boys. When in Saint Thomas
go to the Pirates Chest, a gift shop at the top of the tramway and ask for
Sean. He is an avid diver, has been living and diving there for over a
decade and knows his way around.
Since 1987 our Jupiter Wreck has continued to yield coins but the question, "Where's the rest of the Ship?" has remained unanswered...  There are 2 layers of shipwreck scatter and we are equipping the "Enterprise" to excavate the primary treasure layer.  Join with us this year!

Sean is cool balony dives with you Dom,heard he left St T recently. Maybe wrong. Mc Manus is a rat end of story just have a beer and hear him gloat then watch your pocket empty as he relates another story first hand as if his....rat. Shipwrecks in the Caribbean all over, St Croix parks service...St Thomas 19th C and not Trompuseue goblin beer talk.
    Fun place....

I had lived on Strand St. in Christiansted in the 90's before Hurricane Marilyn put me out of work and out of home. I worked for Dive St. Croix run by Miles and Mark Sperber. There are a number of intentional and unintentional wrecks around St. Croix. Knowing the history of the island, will help in knowing where to look.
