Thank-you all so much. Rusty and I had separated over a year ago. I was not on his "Bucket List".
(No disrespect or grudges) It is what it is. I accepted it. We still talked when he needed me.

The sad thing is: He did not die from his illness. (Of all the things that could have killed him )
He was murdered. He went to the defense of a neighbor whose boyfriend was abusive and the guy took a baseball bat to Rusty's head. He died from subdural hematoma and intra cranial bleeding.

Thank-you all for the pictures here and memories of a better time for Rusty and I. You all have touched my heart.

Love ya all!!!!

All types of BFOs owned. Especially want White's Arrow; White's Oremaster; Exanimo Spartan Little Monster; Garrett contract Little Monster.
You can't do better than to die doing what is right.
That's not a tragedy that is a declaration of
principles and a monument to a great human being.
Never met the man but I'm sure I would have liked
him. RM, sometimes good men will do stupid things
for what they percieve as good reasons. Maybe he
was trying to protect you from the pain of his
passing. sincere regards, siegfried schlagrule

Holy hell, sorry to read this. RIP Rusty, he went out doing a good dead, something most would not bother to do.

Peg Leg's expo was a blast. It was a pleasure meeting everyone there and Rusty took up metal detecting after that expo.
He enjoyed talking with all of you.
Yes, Rusty did tell me a few months ago that he thought he was making it easier for me if I moved on before he died. And, yes, he is a hero in many people's eyes. He was so frail from being sick and he stood up to protect Denise.
He actually looked good in these pics from the expo. That's the man I miss.
I will keep in touch from time to time.
There is nothing better than this group in here. Like Family!
Thanks for all of your kind words.
Linda

Well, I have conveyed my condolences - now I'd like to convey my anger - I hope the guy that did this is being taken care of - by the cops - and gets to see some life in a cage - ?
