Way to go Greg and the Gold Hound Crew!

Greg, what is the encrusted object that kind of looks like a brooch or pendant?

    RGecy,
The picture title is "Locket". Guessing that's what it is. Be interesting to see it once it's cleaned up.

Nice finds, especially the 2 escudo. Would like to see closeups on all the coins posted over in the Spanish cobs forum if you get time Greg. We always need something to analyze over there.

Ahh great news. Hope you find more down there.
Det vi vet er så uendelig lite mot det som har hendt. Arkeologen er som den som går langs en strand og finner småtterier, skyllet i land fra et forsvunnet skib. Men selve skibet som gikk i dypet med menneskene får han aldri se.

I called it a Locket but not sure if that is the correct name of the artifact. It looks simular to an artifact that Harold Holden had found on the Douglas Beach site many years ago. It has glass on both sides and i belive it held a portrait or ashes inside... Looks to be Gold Guilted and has a link at the top where a chain connected to it. I will post a picture when it gets cleaned up by the conservation lab.
All artifacts and coins were found in less than 10' of water.

Which site do you work Greg? I was at ambersands beach this weekend with the family and couldn't help to wonder if the boat working the cabin wreck only several hundred yards away found anything. Visibility up here was spectacular, kids were snorkeling chasing around nurse sharks. I'm sure it had to be a great day to be a treasure hunter.
