Hey Morgan, good points but you don't know whats going on down here. State Rep. Illeana Ross-Leightnen (R-Miami) proposed to audit what the state archies hold in treasure but they resisted. Why? Because most of the treasure has been stolen or is missing. Another State Rep (Lincoln Balzart Diaz) proposed selling the treasure held by the Division of Historic Resources to pay for the state deficit (the same ones that issue permits) but there is nothing left to sell!!!! We don't want to change any laws. Just enforce the ones that exist like issue permits to responsible salvage companys. The state has not issued one single salvage permit in over 15 years!!!!!
