hope this post is in the right spot,
with the season about to take off, as with every year, i have an opening for a diver/ deckhand/ assistant. i have never had an opportunity as this forum presents and wasn't sure as how to present only one position to so many.
looking for someone energetic, positive, boating experience a plus, but not required, valid i.d., passport a plus,but not not required, to participate in diving activities must have a minimum advanced open water certification. the position of treasure diver/amateur archaeologist/magnetometer technition /data analyst/ traveler of the treasure coast and abroad can be as demanding as joyous so only inquire with sincerity.
already scheduled this season is researching, identifying, and mapping (2) permitted sites off the east coast of Florida with a third site pending. magging two locations off east Florida, and negotiations with several other jobs pending time and weather restrictions
i expect a good number of people to reply so if i don't answer all immediately please be patient.

So far so good
This was an old wreck 30 years ago on top of another much older one hit it with the mag
good clear pix ( well fuzzy and Grainy good clear pix)
of an old boat we dove on it 30 feet
Came up with one of the objects on my picture the thin one with almost no markings neat fadded cross though
the entire area has had so many ship losses you cant see the pointy rock at night

also did you hit the structure with the mag, cause that happened to me in 2004 on a location the wise ol boss sent me to,my deckhand at the time thought he saw piling sticking out of the bottom on the sounder, puzzling the this far out, when on the next pass the mag hit an apparent mound sticking up about 18 feet luckily didn't hurt the mag or sled just as ding on the transducer, we immediately went to the dock to inspect the mag ...................or did i dive to inspect the.............I'm sorry senator i have no recollection of exactly what happened that day lol...........

i feel i must retract my statement, after rereading the thread, i know of no reason you would know my name is Joe also, and i know of no packet rock nor have i seen it on my charts old or new of where ive been working.
i apologize for my assumpsion and hope you were just rooving another friend. may we become acquainted someday under different circumstances.

J&J Salvours Jo, is embelishing the truth a little, in fact a little more than a 12 pack, he seems eager and probably means no harm but there are no cannons in numbers as he states in Charlotte Amalie, certainly the odd few stashed here and there but not as "far as the eye can see!" nor is there much sense in his pointy rocks, I figured maybe a teasing woud straighten his head a little, who am I to do this?, someone who is also eager and wishes him well, I do however know the area pretty well and find it hard to imagine towing a mag anywhere out there unoticed by parks service/dpnr or otherwise, plus the thin cross what and nice mag if it has a display for pictures, does he mean sidescan? J&J welcome to the forum, think before you babble, there are people diving in your harbour daily, have done for many years, many people on this forum. 99 I dont know if there are so many cannons as J&J says but there are 32 for sure. In 1683 a vessel by the name of LaTrompeuse was attacked by pirates and blew up while anchor in the harbour of Charlott Amalie. Well thats what Mr. Marx says anyway....

Well, that is true about her being blown up July 31, 1683. I have the signed book by Isadore Paiewonsky. The Trinity, Capt. Sharp's old capture went up as well when the Brits burned the Trompeuse and she blew up in St. Thomas harbor. The pirate captain was named Jean Hamlyn and the Brit was Capt Charles Carlile, H.M.S. Francis. Please believe that if you mention Marx as a reference in a circle of experts and you're going to get pained expressions.

hi all,
well things went off the topic lightly, but on the subject, i want to thank all the good people i was in contact with, there are truly a diversity of people with a love of history and adventure, to those who just couldn't justify it at the time may your day come to you in the future. as for my new hand Ryan wells, he found treasure comes in many forms his first day we were wrapping up a job in Mississippi, so we could mobe to Florida, when out of the debris we discovered a token box full, brought up from a sunken casino barge.
unfortunately they have been discontinued but still exciting, and a sign of things to come.

hi Jason, don't know why you cant get though, but feel free to call me, i saw in other post that your coming down to Jupiter also, super place, nice water we worked that site in 1997, exciting spot always produces and has good vis, i am currently in Stuart Florida just north of Jupiter, were at the southpoint anchorage doing some more paperwork be here for a few days feel free to come by.

Hey Joseph,

Looks like my trip will be starting labor day weekend (diving with SeaHuinter for the weekend) and then planning to spend a day meeting some of Mel Fisher's crew and checking out his museum. Plan to spend as many weekdays as I can on the Rio Bravo if you'll be diving during that time. Really just looking to get my feet wet (pardon the pun) and make sure this is something I want to pursue full time.

See you in a few weeks, I'll be staying on Sea Captian drive in Stuart, so meeting up should be a matter of a few blocks Looking forward to it!
