I am just getting started in diving/detecting here in south Thailand and would love to hear/work/join in/learn from
anyone else in the area

I haven't been to Thailand in about 6 years now but it is beatiful there. The water is great. Warm and usually providing good visibility.

But as far as shipwrecks go, I can't think of anything in the area off the top of my head. Your best bet would be to hit the beach in Pattaya and the popular beaches around Phuket. These are both relatively busy tourist areas and you might be able to find some good jewelry.

Hi Dan, Im up in the Pattaya area, and have only. Detected the beaches here, with not as much success as I had hoped for. The beach is now just a narrow strip, and I dont like detecting under peoples feet. If there is an early morning low tide, then can beat the crowd, and search the dry and wet sand at the same time.
