Misfortunes and Shipwrecks in the Seas of the Indies, Islands, and Mainland

Those interested in the Spanish experience in the New World during the early 1500s will be interested in a new translation that has just been published of _Misfortunes and Shipwrecks in the Seas of the Indies, Islands, and Mainland of the Ocean Sea (1513-1548). Book Fifty of the General and Natural History of the Indies_ by Gonzalo Fernández de Oviedo (1478-1577).

It is translated and edited by Glen F. Dille, and it has been published by the University Press of Florida. A description is available at: http://www.upf.com/book.asp?id=DILLE001.

Alexandre forgive me for my ignorance but did Oviedo write 49 books on the history of the Indies before this one?
