Odyssey Explorer
Just left port in Hull. I'm watching it head out now on Marinetraffic.com.

Almost to the North Sea. I wonder if Discovery is covering this run for Treasure Quest? They are contracted to try and find an Israeli plane that went down in 1957 loaded with gold.

Thanks for the update. I've been checking on it every few days and it's been in port every time. I notice it move from dock to dry-dock, then to a new dock.
I'll be watching to see where she goes.

Destination is listed as "test site", and they are now anchored. Since they just came out of a drydock, I imagine they are doing a sea trial to make sure everything is up and running.

That sounds right. Are you in Enid Oklahoma? I lived there from 1969-1973. My dad was stationed at Vance.

The town has changed a bit since you left. You left shortly after I was born.

The Odysseys' CEO, Greg, is my son in laws cousin from Elberta Alabama. They have a display in that Town of some of his finds. Guess I should hit him up for a cruise....

So is the marine traffic site screwed up or is the Odyssey haveing a bit of fun? There current position shows them in the middle of Egypt

My wife and I were laughing about the recently. They have complained on the show about folks being able to track them. I think they have come up with an answer!

I just saw her as she sailed past South Stack lighthouse, blowing a Gale here, so she is making slow progress, lots of U boats in this vicinity.
