    NW shipwrecks

Newbie to all of this, looking for information about shipwrecks in the NW. I have read the Colubia river mouth has lots of them. Was wondering if any more existed. Then basically just where to start doing research. Thanks

    Re: NW shipwrecks

You need Gibbs' "Shipwrecks of the Pacific Coast," c. 1957, Binfords & Mort Publishers, Portland, OR. Will not have more recent data, such as the New Carissa, but still one of the best books available.

Once you've narrowed your search some, Oregon Historical Society Research Library has lots of data.
