When folks purchase a shipwreck coin, very seldom are they purchasing it as an investment.
I know this because I have sold and purchased more than a few.

People are "buying in" to the passion of the "event" - the "quest" and adventure of exploration.
Wearing the coin makes them a part of the event, abet even if only in a romantic or vicarious way
and level. Personally I hate the word "investor" when it comes to shipwreck exploration.
Any of the few but very special people that have contributed any funding in the form of
capital or equipment to our operations - I have always considered "patrons" rather than
investors.

Not everyone can walk away from what supports them and risk everything to
actually participate in a living adventure... Especially when it is surrounding the study of the
past in a maritime environment, where man really has little understanding of the actual
risks or dangers involved. The type of shipwreck exploration we
do is investigative in nature.

positions that have been miss-used by interests groups to
suit their own sorted ends.

When this happens in our society governed by men,
we as Americans
have a Constitution and Bill of Rights that site "cause"
for individual and civil disobedience.

to comprehend or understand why some of us

For those of you celebrating, don't let it stop there. The Task Force for Metal Detecting Rights is continuing the fight, here is the email I got today. For another possible victory coming up.

Congratulations! It really makes a difference when we all stand together. In Kentucky, SB 105 passed in the Senate http://www.lrc.ky.gov/record/12rs/SB105.htm and soon this legislation will be brought up for a vote in the House.

Once we have the HB number, we will update the Task Force web site and provide an email link so you can email all of the House Representatives asking them to pass the bill.

Together, our voice is being heard!

Like I said before, i've seen no legal documentation of the proposed amendments to the bill being dropped. It's been several days now. I hope Sen. 510 years ago, we attacked and conquered parts of Yemen, Oman, Iran and Irak and chocked the Persian Gulf.

510 years later, we still have Portuguese warships in the Persian Gulf, in order to kick some pirate's ass.
