OK, were they working on the jetty or actually recovering cannon? I must admit that barge would indeed make a nice cannon retrieval tool.

I just got back from the inlet!

I was trying to charter the crain and barge but because of the weather - they are so far behind on the inlet job - the crew is very frustrated and doesn't know if they will be able to finish their own job.

I've been looking at some crain barges and what a deal - if we could charter this one but for now they are under the gun... and the winds are supppose to go northeast again tomorrow afternoon...

The weather over the past two weeks is the very kind of weather that probably caused the jupiter Shipwreck in the winter of 1660!
