Steamboat wrecks and landing sites along Missouri & Mississippi has been a passion for treasure hunters for years. Some wrecks had been located far away from the current river as the channel has moved over time Steamboats - Kingdom of Callaway Historical Society. There's the Steamboat Arabia wreck museum in Kansas City. That was a good site found and I hope to visit the museum next time in that town. Good Luck! I'm sure you'll find old artifacts all up and down the Missouri. My Grandpa who lived along the Mississippi and I would always go along the shore of the river and look for things. I have a very old 18ct gold ring with 5 mine cut diamonds my Grandpa found along the river in the 1930s. We just used are eyes looking for treasure. With an MD you'll find all kinds of stuff
