I blame the investors for not getting the whole story before they invested . Cornelius

Why is there any blame here at all, Corny? There is no whole story yet. No one knows if it's the Sussex or not. That is why investors risk their money, on the chance that it may be. If they wait to get the whole story, it will be too late.

The owners of the salvage company have lived high on the hogg all the time they were spreading the story

The SEC is well aware of Seahawk in the past and since Enron, they have cracked down even more on frivilous practices and cooked books. Gregg Stemm knows the SEC is watching him and is investing this money into the project so the Sussex can be identified. He also knows that trust must be built with investors if future projects are to be funded.

Personally, I will be surprised if it is not the Sussex. I wishj them well, while agreeing with much that has been said about the vast amount of other people's money they have been risking. They seem to have built up a huge number of potential targets in addition to the Sussex. From what I know of them, the principals of Odyssey are honorable people.

Skimmer... Believe me, no Spanish jets, or patrol boats for that matter, escorted the Odyssey Explorer from anywhere. They left of their own accord after Madrid asked them to suspend operations, and for safety reasons.

You know, I don't know what OMR has found and I imagine that they wont either until they start excavating. But, you can bet none of the naysayers posting here have a first hand account either.

Come to think of it, it seems the same people are always posting negatively on just about any company who claims to have found something. I could be wrong, but it sure does seem that way.

Recently the "Sussex and OMR" subject has been deleted from HistoryHunters forum, and hopefully this subject isn't going drag itself into the TNet forums.Let's keep this forum as treasurehunting and not SalvageLaw. Just a thought,

I must agree with Doc, that it is germane. Treasure hunting and Salvage law are not mutually exclusive to one another, quite the contrary. However, I do not think this subject should be relegated to the "Members Only Page".
