Sometimes the best leads come from the most unexpected places.

I hope she follows through and wish you the best of luck.

No worries. Good things come to the persistent. Just keep eating breakfast there. She'll get you the info eventually.

Kevin... Good luck on this possible treasure venture! If you get the info needed and find a Treasure Ship wreck, can you just leave a small Flag on the bottom that says "I found this" until the Bahamas changes their Laws for salvage of shipwrecks??!!:dontknow:

Sadly Frank, that is exactly what I would do except of course to video the find just to demonstrate the absurdity of an honest individual not able to recover anything for the public to view and if considerable in value for the government to use.

As soon as the location was "known" everything would evaporate, sigh.....WTS

BVI,

shouldn't you be posting photos and news of your finds instead of blagging free coffee from me.....and then getting me to leave the tip

I understand how you and many other treasure hunters feel when you make a find and cannot share it with the world and possibly get compensated for your' discovery. One can only hope that some day, you might be able to upgrade those Lead diving weights for Gold or Silver ones!;D

Hopefully the bell will have the vessel's name on it. That will go a long way in determining date, history, cargo, etc., if at all. Awesome follow through!
