Where on Earth did the author get those valuations from?

Central America, $50 Million to date (not $150 Million)
Republic was $50 Million to date (not $120-$180 Million)
Gairsoppa was $40 Million. (not $200 Million)
Black Swan $500 Million !?!?!? (500 thousand 1804 silver coins, even mint would be less than $25 Million)

I am thinking "man that makes a joint worth like a 1000 bucks".

Exaggeration is "key" to a good "story" these days.
