Shipwreck with inset gold?

Can anyone help me identify what this is? I assume it is from an old shipwreck that washed up on the beach. It has 4 golden rods that go into the wood. It also has iron spikes, wood plugs and holes that serverd som purpose. I have addition pictures if someone can help. 20161025_193551.jpg 20161023_171725.jpg

brass ships nails / spikes brass did not rust like iron ...

old bronze pins will glitter when cleaned up some of the sailors on them old ships would hammer a silver spike in the hull, only latter to get it out when they returned home good hiding place remember these sailors would be away from home a couple of years. check out those old timbers
