Welcome to Treasure Net !!
Looks real; and pock marked due to the sea.
It's an 8 reales cob coin minted in Potosi, Peru.
The last two numbers of the date appear to the left of the lower "P"; but illegible to these eyes.

Don..

Thanks a lot Don! Is it pretty much impossible to figure out what wreck it came from since the year is illegible? Also what do you think it would be worth? I don't plan on selling it, but I'm curious. And did you mean Potosi, Bolivia? Not Peru?

The date, alone, will not tell if the coin is from any particular shipwreck.
At the time the coin was minted, the area was in the Viceroyalty of Peru.
Not until 1825 (many years after the minting) did the area become part of the Republic of Bolivia.
You can check CompletedTransactions (or Sales) vs. listings, on Ebay for an idea of comparable coin's value; but without a year, sales prices may be subjective. (Different years and assayer's initials affect the value, as does condition and demand.)

Assayer looks kinda like an E would date in mid 17th century after 1653 by the length of the pillars but before the mid 1660's when I think assayer E turned in his assaying services...
